Classic Croque Monsieur
Easy and quick to make, this hearty Croque Monsieur is a classic.

Ingredients
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 1 tablespoon spreadable butter
- 2 tablespoons Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise
- 4 slices gruyère cheese or swiss cheese
- 4 slices ham
- pinch of nutmeg, if desired
- 60 g baby rocket leaves, to serve
Directions

Lay out all the slices of bread on a chopping board. Spread a thin layer of butter on the inside slices of the bread. Spread with a little of of the mayonnaise.

On 4 of the bread slices top with cheese and ham and sprinkle with a pinch of nutmeg, if desired. Top with remaining 4 slices of bread. Spread remainig butter and Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise on the top and bottom of sandwiches

Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook sandwiches for about 20 seconds each side then reduce heat and cook for a further 3-4 minutes until golden brown and cheese has melted. Serve with a rocket leaves.
