Barbecue Beef Fajitas

Easy and quick to prepare, this fajita recipe is delicious and full of bold flavours.

  • 4 tablespoons Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 400 g rump steak, sliced into 2cm strips
  • 1 red onion, halved and thinly sliced
  • 1 red capsicum, deseeded and sliced
  • 1 zucchini, thinly sliced lengthways
  • 4 tortilla wraps, warmed
  • 3 tablespoons roughly chopped coriander leaves


  1. Combine Hellmann’s Light Mayonnaise, tomato, paprika and red chilli in small bowl. Set aside.

  2. Place steak in a bowl. Season with salt, to taste. Add half the oil toss, coat. Add onion, capsicum, zucchini to another bowl, Season with salt, to taste, Add remaining oil, toss to coat.

  3. Heat a barbecue (both the flat plate and chargrill plate) over high heat. Add the steak to the flat plate and cook for 3-5 minutes or until browned on all sides. Add vegetable mixture to the chargrill plates and cook, turning occasionally, for 3-5 minutes or until tender.

  4. Arrange steak and vegetables in the middle of the tortilla. Top with the mayonnaise tomato mixture and garnish with coriander.
