Cheddar Cheeseburger

These juicy cheeseburgers will soon become a family favourite.

  • 500 g beef mince
  • 6 tablespoons Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 cheddar cheese slices
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 red onion, cut into rings


  1. In a large bowl combine the mince, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, egg, garlic and black pepper. Shape into 4 burger patties.

  2. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook burgers for 4 minutes each side or until cooked through. Top with cheese and cook for a little longer to let the cheese melt slightly.

  3. Spread the bun bases with remaining mayonnaise. Top with lettuce, tomato, red onion, cheesy burger and then the bun lid. Serve with fries.
