Peri Peri chicken, avocado burger

The exotic flavours shine through on this tasty peri peri chicken burger!

  • 300 g skinless chicken breast fillets
  • 3 tablespoons Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Peri Peri sauce
  • 1/2 cup lettuce leaves
  • 100 g avocado, diced
  • 2 wholemeal burger buns, split, toasted
  • 2 tablespoons sundried tomatoes
  • sweet potato chips, to serve


  1. Pre-heat barbecue flat plate over medium high heat. Combine the Hellmanns Real Mayonnaise, lemon juice and zest in a bowl and set aside.

  2. Slice the chicken breast lengthwise, to form 4 thinner chicken pieces so cooking time is decreased. Barbecue for 4-5 minutes each side or until cooked through .

  3. Build the burger in the following order: bottom bun, lemon mayonnaise, lettuce, sundried tomato, avocado, grilled chicken, Peri Peri sauce and toasted top bun. Serve with fresh cooked sweet potato chips.
